X LATIN AMERICAN CONGRESS ON PEDIATRIC CRITICAL CARE, GUATEMALA CITY
The next Latin American Congress on Pediatric
Critical Care will be held in Guatemala (Central
America) under the presidency of Doctor Luiz
Moya (luismoya@centramerica.com). Central
America and the Caribbean regions present
one’s of the highest mortality rate among the
Latin American countries. Bringing the congress
to this region, the organizers intend stimulate an
enormous integration between pediatric
intensivists and general pediatricians. The
scientific program will privilege the general
themes (e.g. dengue fever and septic
shock), responsible for the high mortality
mixed with the specific issues (e.g.
cardiovascular surgery and ethics issues).
